Hve you noticed the awesome electrical boxes around town?  The city got a grant to showcase local artists’ work on the boxes.  There are over 50 of them and a few of our PCAA artists participated, including:  AD Allegretti,, Karen Kendall, Emily Miquelson, Rene Mox Hall, Linda McCausland.

MINERS 9

Member Peg Bodell worked tirelessly to get some loca art representation on Park City.  She was able to procure the old Miners Hospital in City Park once a year for 9 artists to show and sell their work.  Our time there is done this year, but we will start back up in March (and then thru October).  Thanks Peg!!

HAZEL COPPOLA is excited to be showing new work alongside many friends at the George S. & Dolores Doré Eccles Art Gallery at Salt Lake Community College, South City Campus in the upcoming exhibition “LA MORTALIDAD: Una Cuestión De Vida o Muerte ( a matter of life and death)” October 12 thru November 17. Opening reception is October 12 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Traces Of the West at Eccles Art Center in Ogden. She received a Juror’s Award for her «Mountain Trails» 11×14 oil.

Check out member Johnny Adolphson’s (with Deb DeKoff) exhibit, ‘Scapes, at the PC Library !  Johnny is a master of landscape photography.  His work emphasizes light in an incredibly beautiful and meaningful way.

             JEANNE HANSEN FEATURED AT RED BUTTE GARDENS                                                                

Member Jeanne Hansen will have a solo show at Red Butte Garden April 14-May 8. The show is titled “Art By Design.”  In Salt Lake City. 

Jeanne says: “I feel it’s important for artists to convey nature in such a way that people take notice of the beauty around them. Mountains express such power, contrast and strength.

Opening reception is on Saturday April 22, 2:00-5:00. Mark your calendars!

 HAZEL COPPOLOA AT THE UTAH MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART

Boombox Benefit March 10, 2023 – Apr 22, 2023

Over the course of four months, Salt Lake-based ceramicist Horacio Rodriguez cast ten porcelain boomboxes. Once molded and fired, each boombox was then passed to local artists to paint and alter.  Hazel is one of those artists!
